The worst is almost over for those sitting exams - stick with it for a few more weeks and you’ll (probably) have a happy green summer ahead!Above is a graph of MoodPanda users’ posts talking about their exams, and their corresponding happiness. The graph shows 3 years data gathered from hundreds of thousands of MoodPanda happiness updates. It’s clear to see the Summer exams trigger the most MoodPanda activity, with a noticeable happiness slump as the exams approach and revision begins - but thankfully the average happiness quickly recovers and increases massively during and after the exams - when all the hard work has paid off. There’s another activity spike during the August re-sits, which starts to drag people’s happiness down again, but then in September happiness soars as the year’s exams are all out of the way - phew!Sadly the Winter exams don’t seem to have this recovery, with constantly low average happiness, really slumping in November, followed by months of unhappiness around exams until May.
Leave comments below - why do you think there’s such a slump in the Winter exams compared to the Summer?
